Our biggest goal is to help owners and pets stay together. We are here to provide assistance with the following things: keeping pets contained, basic training, vet bills, supplies (food, leashes, collars, etc), walking and/or bathing animals, helping to pay surrender fees if necessary to avoid animals being dumped, assisting with pet deposits, and providing information to the community about pet ownership. That being said, we can ’t do any of that without donations from YOU! We also assist with found and stray animals; providing them with temporary shelter and food until animal control can assist us in finding their home.
Did you know that the closest animal rescue is 17 miles away? That rescue is Fuzzy Friends, where they have the option to turn down animals they do not have room for. The closest animal shelter is 18 miles away, that ’s the Humane Society of Central Texas. Shelters like the Humane Society do not have the option to turn down stray animals. Due to this, they are typically close to, or over capacity. By having a local organization, we can help alleviate some of the stress from the Humane Society, keep animals local in order to increase probability of the animals being returned home, and decrease the number of strays in our community. Our number one goal is to help owners overcome barriers so that they can keep their pets in their homes.
